The rules of the directory.

ElectionKnight is a neutral candidate directory for local elections. We provide a publication surface for candidates’ own words and basic facts (party, incumbent status, office sought). We do not investigate, rank, or endorse candidates.

By registering a candidate profile, the candidate agrees that:

• The information provided is truthful (name, office, party).
• The two 250-word sections are written by them or with their explicit consent.
• Any photo uploaded is a photo they have the right to publish.
• They will not impersonate another candidate.
• They will not use the platform for unlawful purposes.

We reserve the right to remove profiles that violate these terms.

• Free, no-account access to all candidate profiles.
• Random order within each office, equal-footing cards.
• No tracking of which candidates a voter reads.
• An honest, unedited presentation of each candidate’s self-description.

Candidates may optionally subscribe to a Campaign Plus tier for a monthly fee processed by Stripe. The subscription unlocks campaign tools (calendar, jobs board, endorsements, SMS outreach via Textiton). Subscription does notaffect the candidate’s position or visual prominence in the directory.

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time within a paid period.

ElectionKnight is provided “as is”. We make no warranties about election dates, ballot positions, or candidate accuracy beyond a reasonable effort to publish what candidates themselves provide. Voters should consult their official county and state election authorities for the authoritative ballot.
